I really do feel so lucky. In more ways than one, of course… But I have the biggest group of ‘cheerleaders’ when it comes to cookies. ‘Groupies’ was a termed used yesterday. Cookie decorating was NEVER even a thought in my mind until about 2 years ago. I am a mom, a wife, a nurse – certainly not a cookie decorator. But things change. And if it wasn’t for the people around me, praising the cookies (even when they weren’t as pretty), eating the cookies and asking for cookies – I would not still be making cookies. And it’s the confidence that they have in my skills that humbles me. They push me to challenge myself. And for that – I thank all of you!!
So, when Ella wanted Yoda cookies for her PINK 4th birthday party.
That’s what I made her! Love that girl!

I just sifted through a ton of your posts. Great cookie designs and so well-executed! Looking forward to keeping up with your new posts
Thank you!!
Hi – just followed you here from your facebook page, and was struck by coincidences – I’m also a Mom, a wife and was a nurse, until a couple of years ago. And it was after giving up nursing (to be a full time mom), that I started cookie decorating, almost by accident. I’ve now become a part time cookie decorator by trade, although it’s a very small beginning of a trade
(And now I know why the sinus rhythm on your heart cookies is so accurate, of course!)

Funny how sometimes life takes you in a completely different direction! I looked at some of your cookies on FB. Great job! Love the Birthday alien…
